KIT Karlsruhe has researched how the production speed develops when 2 robots work synchronously with each other and coordinate their processes.
Cheaper than a single industrial robot
The biggest challenge was to get the robots to move in sync with each other. However, after optimising the control system, this was no longer a problem and the robots were able to call up their optimal performance in complement to each other.
